Occupational Health & Safety Management System,
OHSAS 18001
We are delighted to announce that, following a successful certification audit of our Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, we have received OHSAS 18001 Certification.
We are especially pleased to be advised that Atkins is the first Engineering Consultancy in Hong Kong to have achieved OHSAS 18001 Certification.
This award reflects Atkins' total commitment to ensuring that risk to health and safety, not only of our own staff, but of anyone who comes into contact with our operations, is kept as low as reasonably practicable through sound management to reduce our risks thereby increases our operating efficiency and quality of service.
As a leading provider of professional engineering services in the planning, enabling and design of major capital projects, this important health and safety certification, along with our Quality Assurance certification to ISO 9001 and our Environmental certification to ISO 14001, is a reflection of our awareness of the social, environmental and ethical impact of our work and the responsibility that entails.
As part of Atkins' global initiative, we are now in the process of implementing an OHSMS for our mainland offices.
