KCRC Light Rail Extension and Grade Separation
Atkins was responsible for the detailed design and construction supervision of this HK$2B project to extend KCRC's Light Rail (LR) system by over 4km and to construct 1.5km of viaduct to provide grade separation of the existing LR system at key road junctions. The design scope included all civil structural and railway system work. A full range of services was provided including project management, civil and structural, geotechnical, traffic, drainage and utilities, safety and reliability, railway alignment, signaling, communications, AFC, OHL and power supply, permanent way, highways and environmental services.
