Shenzhen Line 3 ¡V Pre-investment Study
The Mass Transit Railway Corporation (MTRCL) of Hong Kong were invited by the Shenzhen Government to consider investing in the implementation of the Shenzhen Line 3 from Hong Ling Zong Lu in the Central Business District to Longging. Line 3 will be 32km long, partly in tunnel and on viaduct, with six underground stations and 13 above ground stations.

MTRCL appointed Atkins to carrying out a pre-investment study with the primary aim of identifying the preferred scheme and providing cost estimates and assisting in identifying project revenues.

Shenzhen Metro L4 Feasibility Study
Atkins was commissioned by MTRCL and the Shenzhen Government to carry out a feasibility study to investigate and establish the viability of this major investment venture in Southern China . Relevant issues include; patronage forecasts, land planning, engineering, operation planning and design together with the provision of cost estimates.

Phase 1 of Line 4 had been constructed by others and therefore the study was for the Phase 2 extension but operation of the full line would be by MTRCL.
