| Causeway Bay Underground Pedestrian Link and Station Improvement Scheme
This project involved the design of a new pedestrian link under Hennessy Road and Great George Street to provide improved grade separated accessibility across Hennessy Road and to the Causeway Bay MTR Station (CAB). Five new entrances in the street will be provided to the Underground Link and CAB station. In addition the East Concourse will be remodeled to improve circulation and to allow full integration with the Underground Link. Issues of constructability, fire engineering and minimizing impacts on the existing MTR facilities, pedestrians and traffic have been dealt with in the design. Retail has been incorporated into the design to provide an attractive environment to encourage use of the Link and also to provide financial support. |
