CADD
The Atkins Computer-aided Design (CAD) department brings a highly efficient and professional integrated CAD solution to today's Engineering challenges. Fully trained in both AutoCAD and Microstation CAD Software the departments services include the co-ordination and production of all of today's Engineering drawings, ranging from Architectural, Building Services, Civil, Structural, Transportation and Utilities.
INROADS and INRAIL design packages are used as an integral tool for providing integrated design solutions on today's projects. 3D models are created for aesthetics and presentation purposes as well as for providing answers to design issues such as buildability and conflicts. Microstation Triforma is used to develop 3D Intelligent project models, which can then be used to automatically generate fully Co-ordinated Engineering Drawings, Bills of Quantities and Specifications.
dESIGN & DRAFTING SERVICES
The Atkins CADD Department offers a highly professional multi disciplined drawing service for both AutoCAD and Microstation. Our highly trained CADD operators have a wealth of experience in producing high quality CADD drawings for all disciplines of work:
- Architectural Drawings
- Civil Drawings
- E&M Drawings
- Presentation Drawings
- Structural Drawings
- Utility Drawings
CADD Drawings can be produced in either AutoCAD or Microstation using either our in-house CADD Standards or Client CADD Standards as dictated by the project. Technical work such as highway/rail alignment design using INROADS and INRAIL software, problem solving and other work which requires interaction with the Design Team is carried out by our Hong Kong CADD Staff. Drawing work such as Contract Drawings which requires the production of large volumes of drawings can be carried out by our China Offices, where we can call upon an unlimited resource of experienced CADD Operators.
MODELLING
The CAD Department offers technologically advanced services such as in-house design testing by way of virtual reality models. Such services can reduce the risk level associated with a particular project dramatically by identifying flaws in the design stage prior to any construction. Structures such as buildings and bridges are built within the computer in a virtual 3-Dimensional world. Users can then walk through the model in real time identifying problems and improvements which can be made to the design. Design modifications can then be made and the implications of such changes determined.
